On 10 April 2025, in Piura (Piura), over 400 civil construction workers, members of the CGTP, carried out a demonstration by marching through the main streets of the city, protesting against increase in criminality, extortions and hitmen attacks against civil construction workers. The group also demanded improvements in medical care, respect for their pensions and greater security measures from the national government.
