[Peru] Riots: Mob violence

On 29 March 2025, in La Union (Piura), a group of residents, owners of a private property, assaulted five adolescents accusing them of theft, as the minors crossed onto the private property to shorten their way, according to the victim's relatives. The group fired rubber bullets to the minors severely injuring them. They were taken to hospital, where one was pronounced dead. Relatives of the minors carried out a demonstration outside the local police station (coded separately) demanding justice. 1 fatality.
