[Peru] Riots: Violent demonstration

On 10 April 2025, in Lima - Lima District (Lima), dozens of residents, official public transport drivers, merchants and relatives of transport workers victims of extortion and hitmen attacks marched from Puente Piedra to the National Congress, demonstrating against hitmen attacks, extortions to transporters and increase in criminality. Another group of demonstrators carried out a banging pots and pans demonstration in the Palao housing complex in Independencia district, voicing their support to transporters and rejecting criminality.
