Around 10 April 2025 (as reported), a mob, mainly boda boda taxi operators, attacked and killed two civilians who were part of a gang in Witemere (Nyeri Central, Nyeri) in retaliation for the recent incident where their colleague was killed and his motorcycle torched. There are no details on the rest of the gang members.
