[Kenya] Riots: Mob violence

On 9 April 2025, ODM supporters beat up and injured a man, who was part of a five-man gang (hired by an unnamed politician), during the party grassroots elections at Kodingo Chief's camp (Nyakach, Kisumu) over the accusation of planning alongside others to disrupt the elections. The suspect was rescued by the police and taken to the hospital. His associates escaped. A tear gas canister and crude weapons, including machetes and knives, were recovered during the incident.
