[Ecuador] Strategic developments: Looting/property destruction

Property destruction: On 7 April 2025, in Guayaquil - Pascuales (Guayas), an unknown number of unidentified armed individuals threw Molotov cocktails at three vehicles in the Colinas de Montebello and La Rotaria neighborhoods. It is suspected the attack was a case of extortion since the perpetrators left threatening pamphlets and that the perpetrators were either members of Los Igualitos gang and Los Fatales gang involved in territorial dispute. The attack caused material damage only.
