On 15 April 2025, in Coronel (Biobio), unidentified individuals attacked maritime police officers who were responding to a call from the captaincy of the Port of Coronel to investigate the theft of two tonnes of pompano fish from the Bucanero vessel (belonging to the Camanchaca company). As the officers were seizing the stolen fish, the unidentified individuals damaged Navy vehicles, including by breaking a window using an iron bar. One officer sustained unspecified eye injuries.
