[Chile] Protests: Peaceful protest

On 9 April 2025, in Concepcion (Biobio), residents of rural areas in Hualqui commune, including Talcamavida, Quilacoya, Unihue and San Miguel, gathered at the offices of the State Railway Company (EFE Sur) and on Espana Square to protest against reductions in the number of train services between Talcahuano and Hualqui, and Laja and Talcahuano. Protesters, who stated that they had no transportation alternatives to the train services, were joined by a municipal councilwoman from Hualqui (PCC).
