On 22 March 2025, an unidentified armed group beat and injured a miner 12 kilometers from Ouadda-Maikaga on the Bria axis, closest to Sam-Ouandja (Ouadda, Haute-Kotto). The attackers looted money and a few grams of gold and diamonds.
