Around 16 April 2025 (between 13 - 19 April), in Thayarwady township (Thayarwady district, Bago-West region), the Myanmar military abducted 47 young people from villages and wards across Thayarwady township and then detained them at the former Township General Administration Department office. The young people were sent to military training on the night of 19 April 2025.
