On 10 April 2025, parents, supporting the teachers' protests with the title 'It will not pass', marched from Bekirpasha school to the Iskele Ecevit square (Trikomo), amid protests dubbed 'the headscarf crisis'. They demand the schools remain secular and not allow religious symbols (including headscarves). Citizens received them with applause. They laid a wreath at the monument of Kemal Ataturk and made statements.
