[Cyprus] Protests: Peaceful protest

On 2 April 2025, about 30 protesters rallied spontaneously outside the presidential palace in Nicosia against solar panel shutdowns imposed by the transmission system operator (TSO) on solar panels based at residential properties. The rally, which started after a call on social media by an independent MP, lasted for about 40 minutes. The protesters submitted their demands in writing to President Christodoulides.
