[China] Violence against civilians: Abduction/forced disappearance

Around 2 April 2025 (as reported), police and government officials detained a female Falun Gong practitioner in a specialist hospital for rheumatism, after transferring her from detention in a police station in Jiayu county (Xianning, Hubei). After the detention in the said hospital, she was transferred again at an unspecified time to a separate psychiatric hospital, where she was confined for a few months and was unable to contact anyone else, for 'drug addiction rehabilitation'.
