On 9 April 2025, a petitioner became incommunicado, after police took him away when he was walking around in a shopping street in Beijing - Dongcheng. On 14 April 2025, the petitioner's wife was notified that on 10 April, police had subjected him to Residential Surveillance at a Designated Location (RSDL) on charges of 'disrupting the work order of government agencies'. It is unknown where he was detained.
