[Iraq] Battles: Armed clash

On 16 April 2025, police forces (Anti-Narcotics Department) clashed with a wanted drug dealer during an attempt to arrest him in Al Khidhir district (coded as Al Khidr city, Al Muthanna). The dealer started to escape in his car and police forces opened fire in order to stop him. The vehicle fell into the river and the dealer got injured. He was subsequently arrested and transferred to a hospital. One of the policemen also got injured. 2 injured. There were no fatalities.
