[Colombia] Explosions/Remote violence: Remote explosive/landmine/IED

On 16 April 2025, in San Pedro municipality (Antioquia), Gulf Clan members detonated an IED as a police convoy was passing through the La Y sector on the San Pedro de los Milagros - Belmira road. The explosion caused one of the vehicles to veer off the road and into a ditch, slightly injuring and stunning the three officers inside. Authorities suspect the attack may have been in retaliation for the killing of a high-ranking Gulf Clan member and faction leader by security forces a week earlier (coded separately). Four suspects were arrested shortly after the attack. There were no fatalities.
