10,001 raw events → 5,500 kept
We trim anniversary re-prints, single-source chatter, and non-supply-chain events before anything reaches your feed.
Why this matters
Raw open-source event feeds are noisy: anniversary articles resurface as fresh events, a single outlet amplifies itself, and most global news has nothing to do with the supply chain. Unfiltered, these signals drown the few events you actually need to see.
Three filter rules
R1 · Single-source amplification
Events covered by only one outlet without corroboration from independent publishers are hidden. Threshold: <3 distinct sources within the event window.
R2 · Anniversary re-prints
Stories re-published on an event's prior anniversary (e.g., 9/11 retrospective on Sept 11) are tagged and hidden.
R3 · Not supply-chain relevant
We score each event for supply-chain relevance (commodities, chokepoints, trade, manufacturing, logistics). Low-relevance events are hidden even if they pass R1/R2.
