On 10 April 2025, in Arantepacua, Michoacan de Ocampo, students of the Cheran teacher training school and residents demonstrated to demand the release of four students who were arrested the day before during a clash with police officers (coded separately). The students set fire to a food truck. The same day, eight of the 12 student teachers were released.
