On 3 April 2025, in Wait-a-Bit, Trelawny, in the morning, police forces shot and killed a man at a house while they conducted a security operation in the community. The police claimed that the now deceased was a troublemaker. Residents claimed that the man was unarmed at his bed at the moment of the shooting. They denied the police version and staged a protest claiming for justice (coded separately). 1 fatality.
