On 21 March 2025, a bomb exploded at the backside of a public transportation vehicle in the Ongkoliong area, Ambon city (Maluku province). Two passengers, the driver, and three people who were approximately 10 meters from the blast site sustained injuries and were treated at the nearest hospital. There is no additional information about the type of bomb or the potential perpetrators of the attack.
