[Honduras] Violence against civilians: Attack

On 2 April 2025, in Comayaguela, Francisco Morazan, unidentified gang members shot at three men who were traveling from the Hoya neighborhood towards La Pena por Bajo. Two of the victims escaped, and a 17-year-old man was abducted and forcibly taken onto a bus. The body of the abductee was found with signs of torture in the Las Torres neighborhood on 3 April. The victim had been tied with cables and sustained multiple stab wounds and blunt force injuries. The attack is suspected to be gang-related. 1 fatality.
