[Colombia] Violence against civilians: Attack

On 9 April 2025, in Santander de Quilichao (Cauca), armed suspects shot and killed a well-known social leader of the ANALTRASEG security workers' union, a UNP police officer, at his home in the La Victoria neighborhood. The victim had just returned from his work shift. The partner of the deceased was also injured in the attack. The identity or motives of the perpetrators are unknown at this point, but there is presence in the area of Jaime Martinez and Dagoberto Ramos FARC dissidents, as well as local gangs. 1 fatality.
