[Bolivia] Protests: Protest with intervention

On 9 April 2025, in La Paz (La Paz), a group of official public transport drivers gathered outside the city hall blocking the access to the building and blocked streets nearby, protesting against a municipal bill that reverts a previous bill approved by the mayor, authorizing the increase in public transport fare. The union called an indefinite strike as part of their demonstration and the resignation of municipal councilors. Another group started a vigil outside the premises of the municipal council and forced some passengers off other buses who did not participate in the blockades. Police forces intervened using tear gas and paintball guns trying to disperse the crowd and transporters responded throwing back rocks. There were no casualties.
