On 17 April 2025, a group of citizens gathered in front of the Sofia municipal council to voice their opposition to the demolition of the residential buildings they live in, found in the Zaharna Fabrika residential area. They warned that on Monday, when the demolition of the buildings is expected, they will form a human chain in front of the excavators to stop them from tearing down the building.
