[Trinidad and Tobago] Violence against civilians: Attack

On 8 April 2025, in Barataria, San Juan-Laventille, overnight, two armed men chased a man next to his home in Eight Avenue North and one of them opened fire on him. The victim run towards his yard and hid in a nearby drain. He managed to escape unharmed. When a Venezuelan friend of the victim came out the front door to check what was happening, he was shot and injured in the neck and mouth. The shooters fled the scene. The motivation for the attack is unknown. 1 injured.
