[Paraguay] Protests: Peaceful protest

On 8 April 2025, in Asuncion (Asuncion), around 30 protesters, relatives of 31 inmates from the maximum-security prisons of Emboscada and Minga Guazu, demonstrated in front of the Ministry of Justice to demand better treatment for the inmates. They reported that the inmates remain locked up 23 hours a day, are sometimes not given food, face very limited visiting times, struggle to access water and electricity, do not receive proper medical attention, and that police officers enter cells, strip them, and record them without disclosing the purpose of these procedures.
