On 10 April 2025, in Nyaung Zin Htaunt village (Tanintharyi township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), the Myanmar military troops stationed at the No.306 artillery battalion in Maw Tone village fired three 120 mm heavy weapons which fell and exploded into the village around 7:30 am. Locals claimed that the military fired after hearing reports that a meeting would be held to form a village administration. There were no casualties.
