[Jamaica] Violence against civilians: Abduction/forced disappearance

On 8 April 2025, in Kingston, Kingston, in the morning, two individuals pretending to be a taxi driver and a passenger kidnapped two women and robbed them from cash and personal belonging as they boarded a fake taxi in the Harbour View area (Saint Andrew parish). The victims were taken to an unknown location, although they were rescued later that day by the police. The perpetrators were suspected members of a gang. Three men were arrested.
