[Iraq] Riots: Violent demonstration

On 20 March 2025, a number of rioters demonstrated near Ibrahim Al Khalil bridge in the center of Nassriya city (Thi Qar) and closed the roads with burning tires, demanding release of a defendant in a legal case. Security forces intervened and opened the road. During the investigation the rioters said they had been incited by Ahmad Al Hilali who wanted to create social tensions.
