On 10 April 2025, Mineral Oil Workers Union affiliated with CITU and Digboi Gopaneri LPG Bottling Plant workers staged a tool down strike along with a protest in front of their main gate in Digboi town (Tinsukia, Assam) accusing the Assam Oil Division (AOD) and contractor of implementing anti-workers policies that affected the rights of workers and their safety.
