Around 16 April 2025 (as reported), in La Ceiba, Atlantida, a man was killed and his body was found with signs of torture, wrapped in sheets and bound at the hands and feet near the banks of the Cangrejal River, between the Carmen Elena and La Fe neighborhoods. According to residents, unknown individuals threw the body from a moving vehicle during the early morning hours. Authorities have not yet identified the victim, and the motive is unknown. 1 fatality.
