[Honduras] Battles: Armed clash

On 8 April 2025, in Comayaguela, Francisco Morazan, police forces from National Police and the Police Anti-Gang and Organized Crime Directorate (DIPAMPCO) clashed with members of the Barrio-18 (B-18) Gang in the Santa Teresita neighborhood during a police operation. During the confrontation, police arrested a suspected extortion coordinator operating in at least ten neighborhoods. Police seized cash from extortion, a stolen vehicle, and a firearm believed to have been used in attacks and possibly linked to homicides. The arrested faces charges of extortion, assault against authorities, and other criminal offenses. There were no casualties.
