On 25 March 2025, 4 assailants riding on mopeds attacked 2 migrant workers from Bangladesh in Argyroupoli, Athens - South Athens, in a racist attack reminiscent of the Golden Dawn style of attacks. The attackers beat up the migrants and stabbed them with knives before taking their mobile phones without stealing any of their other belongings. The migrants reported the incident to the police after they were treated in hospital. The Youth Association of Workers in Argyroupoli made a statement that this was an escalation of similar incidents in the past 8 months, when a group of 10 people verbally abused and intimidated a migrant and students unfurled a banner in support of the 1967-1974 dictatorship in Greece at a local high school.
