[Ghana] Riots: Mob violence

On 5 April 2025, Ntonso and Wiamoase residents clashed during a funeral in Wiamoase (Sekyere South, Ashanti), resulting in gunshots and the use of machetes. The Ntonso residents, who had travelled to Wiamoase to attend the funeral, reportedly described to one of their men as a 'hero', which the Wiamose residents considered disrespectful. 2 people from Ntonso were killed and 5 from Wiamoase were injured, including a pregnant woman.
