[France] Riots: Mob violence

On 8 April 2025, three individuals - a man, a woman, and a teenager - assaulted and racially abused two women of Algerian descent after a minor traffic incident in Joue-les-Tours (Centre-Val de Loire). Although the perpetrators were not involved in the accident, they blocked the women's car, hurled racist insults, pushed one woman to the ground and beat her, and physically assaulted the other when she tried to record the scene. The attackers fled before the police arrived. An investigation was opened.
