[France] Riots: Mob violence

On 2 April 2025, in the evening, four youths assaulted a 20-year-old member of the LGBTQ+ community in his apartment in Nimes (Occitanie). The victim had invited one of the perpetrators through a gay dating app, but the man arrived with three others, including a young woman; the group insulted the victim with homophobic slurs and physically attacked him. The victim sustained physical injuries and later reported symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
