[Ecuador] Battles: Armed clash

On 7 April 2025, in Pimpiguasi (Portoviejo, Manabi), four members of Los Lobos gang shot and killed three uniformed prison guards in a car on the Portoviejo-Junin Highway. The four perpetrators with criminal records for criminal association, robbery and firearms and drug trafficking were arrested in the San Jose sector, rural area of Portoviejo. The three guards were on their way to work at the El Rodeo prison. 3 fatalities.
