[Canada] Riots: Violent demonstration

On 6 April 2025, more than 100 demonstrators marched in the Saint-Michel neighborhood in Montreal - North (Quebec) to demand justice for a man who was killed by the police while in 'crisis'. Police fired multiple rounds of tear gas and pepper spray into the crowd and demonstrators threw rocks and set off fireworks. Demonstrators claim that demonstrators were injured while police claim that no one was injured. Police dispersed the demonstration and a smaller group continued to launch fireworks. Six people were arrested, four for assault with a weapon and two for assaulting a police officer.
