[Bolivia] Riots: Mob violence

On 1 April 2025, in Villa Yapacani (Santa Cruz), groups of residents from Puerto Avaroa locality assaulted a police patrol during an operation again smuggled gasoline by throwing firecrackers and rocks at the officers and blocking a road in the locality. The mob was trying to prevent the seizure of a loaded truck with fuel. Police forces used tear gas to disperse the crowd. The police patrol was partially damaged and three people were arrested. There were no casualties.
