[Bolivia] Riots: Violent demonstration

On 2 April 2025, in Riberalta (Beni), hundreds of residents carried out a demonstration by marching through the main streets of the city, rallying against increase in meat prices. The group broke into the premises of the city council and forced the president of the entity and other councilors to march with them towards the city hall, where the mob forced the entrance to the premises and clashes broke out with municipal officials. The group was trying to meet the mayor, demanding measures against prices speculation and food shortage. As part of the demonstration they started a vigil outside the city hall, demanding their demands to be address. There were no casualties.
