On 17 April 2025, workers and employees at the TEREM-Khan Krum military plant in Targovishte protested for an hour at the intersection of the main Sofia-Varna road due to the systematic delay in the payment of their wages, as well as the lack of a strategy for the future of the company and its employees. The protests have been taking place consecutively for over three weeks.
