[Peru] Violence against civilians: Attack

Around 6 April 2025 (as reported), in San Pedro de Putina Punco (Puno), a group of police officers opened fire against dozens of residents who were trying to control the officers identity after an operation in the Pampa Grande locality against drug trafficking. Two residents were shot and injured. Residents blocked the exits of the localities and held five officers and a prosecutor, demanding an investigation against the officers and calling for medical assistance for the wounded locals. There were no fatalities.
