On 6 April 2025, in Mirebalais, Centre, gang members set fire to houses, chased residents, and occupied several hotels as they attacked the downtown of Mirebalais. The criminals were identified as members of the Canaan Gang and the 400 Mawozo Gang. According to the mayor, there are people who have been killed and injured.
