[Burkina Faso] Violence against civilians: Attack

On 5 April 2025, JNIM militants attacked the village of Mara-Grand (Sourou, Boucle du Mouhoun), as well as the villages Tiao and Gonon (coded separately), after deciding to enlist a number of residents as volunteer fighters (VDP). The militants killed over 100 people, abducted dozens of young men, and caused extensive material damages.
