On 17 April 2025, clashes between RSF, backed by a militia (described as an Arab militia, coded as Darfur Arab militia), and SAF, backed by Darfur Joint Forces/JSAMF, continued in northeast El Fasher (Al Fasher, North Darfur), with RSF fighter drones and exchange of artillery shelling. The Joint Forces repelled RSF.
