On 10 April 2025, Russian police (including FSB agents and national guardsmen) together with voluntary militia members bullied and beat up Kyrgyzstani nationals during a 'migrant raid' on a sauna complex in Moscow - South-Eastern. Migrants were forced to eat chewing tobacco and hot peppers, play arm-wrestling with the police, jump into the pool while fully clothed. Police also shaved one man's beards. Those who refused to do any of that, or those who were not laying on the ground still, were beaten up. Overall 60 foreigners were at the sauna during a raid, the exact number of people who were assaulted, and the extent of their injuries is unknown. Videos of the incident started circulating online. Following the event, Kyrgyzstani Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Russian Ambassador to the country for explanation. Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs' spokesperson stated that 'the officers did not commit any illegal actions'.
