On 30 March 2025, in Salinas, Salinas, armed young men in a moving vehicle chased and shot and killed a man at the parking lot of a business located on Angel Maldonado Street (Playa neighborhood) (drive-by). The police suspect that the attack was a reprisal. The targeted victim, who was armed at the moment of the attack, was a suspect in a 2023 killing (uncoded). He had a criminal record on drugs and firearms possession. The vehicle used for the attack was found burned later that day in Santa Isabel.
