On 9 April 2025, hundreds of people held a demonstration in front of an international food chain's (Kentucky Fried Chicken) restaurant on Hyderabad road in Mirpur Khas city (Mirpur Khas, Sindh), in anger over Israel's actions in Gaza. Some of the demonstrators entered the restaurant, broke the furniture and set it on fire. Police personnel tried to disperse them, they started pelting stones at the police, injuring some police personnel. 20 demonstrators were arrested.
