[Peru] Violence against civilians: Attack

On 28 March 2025, in Barranca (Lima), a group of police officers severely beat a man during a police raid after the man resisted the arrest, arguing violence from the officers, according to witnesses. The victim was arrested and taken to a police station but later transferred to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Five police officers and the chief inspector were arrested accused of police brutality. Relatives and friends of the victim carried out demonstrations demanding justice (coded separately). 1 fatality.
