[Nepal] Riots: Mob violence

On 5 April 2025, four youths tied a ward chairperson belonging to CPN(MC) to an electricity pole and beat him up in Dullu Municipality-3 (Dailekh district). The youths claimed that they assaulted him because the chairman was traveling with a local woman on his motorcycle at night, behaviour they deemed inappropriate for a public official and intended to 'teach him a lesson. Police arrested three individuals, while the fourth one is at large.
